Just A Day Away!

With all of this fresh snow, and more snow to come, the Balsam Lake Snowshoe Race is perfectly timed! Join us this Saturday, February 23 for a fun, community snowshoe event!

The Balsam Lake Snowshoe Race is a family-friendly, dog-friendly event for everyone who enjoys the outdoors and winter hikes! All are welcome, no previous experience is necessary, and we encourage you to walk, trot, or run the 5K marked snowshoe trail. You set the pace to make this an enjoyable winter day with friends and family!

Northern Lites Snowshoes has sponsored 10 sets of snowshoes for the day of the event - so bring a friend or yourself, even if you don't own a pair of snowshoes! Northern Lites Snowshoes is a local company in New Richmond, WI, specializing in light-weight, world-class snowshoes! One pair of these durable, premium snowshoes will be given as a door-prize to a lucky winner for the event!

Check-in: 9am on Saturday, February 23, 2019

Race Start: 10am

Location: American Legion in Pine Park located at 311 Tuttle Street, Balsam Lake, WI.

Registration Fee: $20 for both walkers and runners - All proceeds go toward the improvement of Pine Park. Click here to download and print your registration form. Please bring your registration form and race fees on the day of the event. 

Each participant receives a goodie bag on race day at registration. The race begins at Pine Park, follows a designated trail route through the beautiful wooded areas surrounding Balsam Lake, and ends on the Mill Pond. Water will be provided before and after the race.

Prizes will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for the women's, men's, and kid's division. Prizes include beautiful pottery by Sarah Dudgeon, of Dudgeon Pottery, in Amery, WI. For more information about Sarah Dudgeon and her pottery, click here.
